"Krungthep", a popular Thai restaurant in Umeda and Namba
Krungthep, the popular Thai restaurant based in Namba's Dotonbori, Osaka, has opened a new shop in Lucua Osaka. True to the style of our main location—which has been officially recognized by the government of Thailand—here you can enjoy authentic Thai cuisine crafted at the hands of a Thai chef. Enjoy our dinner menu or the buffet-style lunch where you can sample everything from main courses to desserts. At our Lucua Osaka Store, we are also proud to offer our "dense mango shaved ice," which is popular at food fairs and in the media alike. We hope you try it out.
All of our dishes are crafted with care by a Thai chef. In addition to the standard Thai fare recognized in Japan, such as tom yum goong and green curry, we offer classic Thai dishes cherished and beloved in Thailand itself. Wherever your preferences may lie, one thing is certain: we pride ourselves on our delicious cuisine and will treat you to a meal with the same flavors and quality you’d find from an actual restaurant in Thailand.
Fresh herbs, including cilantro, are an indispensable component of Thai cuisine. In order to always use the freshest possible herbs in our dishes, we restock them at least three times a week from several contract farmers. Our fresh herbs provide an exceptional aroma and texture, lending depth to a dish's taste.
We strive for the most delicious flavors possible using a variety of seasonings together with fresh herbs. Our seasonings are primarily composed of hand-made ingredients and serve as the base for our restaurant’s flavors. We utilize unique combinations of ten different spices or more to achieve different levels of acidity, spice, sweetness, and saltiness which afford our dishes a different level of deliciousness.
